Interactive synthetic charts

Visual Breakout Lab

Switch between common chart structures and study their geometry. Every line is fictional: no ticker, no timestamp, no market feed.

Why we use fictional charts

A current chart of a named security can easily be interpreted as an opinion about that instrument, even when the original purpose was educational. PreBreakout avoids that ambiguity. The lab draws its own synthetic paths, so the page teaches definitions rather than presenting an implied watchlist.

What to observe

Look for boundaries, range width, convergence and the location of a hypothetical path relative to a reference level. Then use the calculators to reproduce the underlying arithmetic with values you choose.
